Dear Fellow Defenders of the AFRAVIH cause,
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
Dear Sponsors,

The 13th AFRAVIH Conference will be held in Lausanne, the Olympic capital of
Switzerland. This key event for the international francophone community calls for the active participation of all those involved in the fight against HIV, hepatitis, sexually transmitted infections and emerging viruses.
Following the success of the Yaoundé conference in 2024, AFRAVIH 2026 will continue to share progress in basic, clinical, biological, human and community science, to pursue the ongoing fight against HIV and hepatitis and strive for better Sexual health. The scientific advances of the past few decades will only bear real fruit with community involvement and inclusive healthcare policies.
Enriched by our cultural, geographical and occupational differences, AFRAVIH 2026 will focus on new developments in treatment and prevention, and on the crucial importance of access to care for vulnerable and stigmatised populations.
AFRAVIH 2026 will bring together all those fighting for effective sexual health
prevention and against gender-based discrimination and violence.
